Welcome to the Human Performance Optimization Special Interest Group!
The mission of the APTA Federal Human Performance Optimization (HPO) special interest group (SIG) is to provide members of the section and other sections the opportunity to network and share knowledge products to improve the quality of health and human performance services for members of the armed service and government agencies, veterans, and other government and community-based efforts.
The overall goal of the Human Performance Optimization (HPO) special interest group (SIG) is to positively impact the quality and variety of health and human performance services provided to the patients and clients of physical therapy professionals. Health and human performance programs benefit from the skills of physical therapy professionals. This special interest group will provide a collaborative support network for physical therapists with an interest in patient and client services in the areas of health and human performance within traditional and emerging care settings. Integrating physical therapy services as a standalone service or as part of multidisciplinary performance optimization teams facilitates patients and clients meeting their functional and performance goals.
